Developer Portal Account

Create and manage your Plex developer portal account

To access the Plex APIs through the developer portal, you must have Plex IAM (Identity and Access Management) activated for your organization.

Plex IAM must be activated before you can create a developer portal account. If your organization has not yet activated Plex IAM, see Activating Plex IAM for instructions.

Prerequisites

Before setting up your developer portal account, ensure the following:

  • Your organization has an active Plex subscription
  • Plex IAM has been activated for your environment
  • You have a valid company email address associated with your Plex account
  • You have coordinated with your Plex Champion (your organization’s designated Plex administrator)

Next steps

Once Plex IAM is activated, you can proceed to:

  1. Log in to the Developer Portal — Access the portal for the first time
  2. Obtain API Credentials — Generate your Consumer Key and Consumer Secret
